Who I Am

I've been writing as far back as I can remember – hell, I was telling stories before I could even hold a pen. Words are pretty much my life.

But, of course, we all need to keep body and soul together, so here's a quick glance at my resumé:

I worked for nine years at Peninsula Business Services, the UK’s leading Employment Law Consultancy. In that time, I worked as a WP Operator and Admin, putting  together legal documents for a very wide client base; two years into that job I was given the Senior WP role, which gave me responsibility for the organisation’s highest-paying clients.

From that I went on to the Training Department, helping to create training documents for managers and supervisors – all of which required an eye for detail and excellent grammar and English.

All of that, though, has been a side-show to my big passion, which is writing.

Thus far I’ve had two novels, three short story collections and two chapbooks published. Another collection is on the way, Novel Number Three is making the rounds of publishers and I’m just putting the finishing touches on Novel Number Four. If you want to know about that side of things you can go here.

In addition, I write a regular column, together with book and film reviews, for This Is Horror, among other places. To cast an eye over my non-fiction output, just click here.

Of course, this site’s all about your words, not mine – but all of the above should tell you that I’m good with them. So what can you expect from me? Carry on to the next bit to find out.
